Join Nicola Benedetti, “the country’s favourite violinist” (The Times) for a unique and personal show as she returns to pre-eminent stages across the UK for her first solo tour in over ten years. Combining solo performances with storytelling, Nicola will share a selection of shorter works – romantic, virtuosic and some Celtic and folk-inspired. This performance will be intimate and personal, with Nicola joined onstage by close colleagues including Brazilian guitarist Plínio Fernandes and accordionist Samuele Telari. This performance will include Pablo de Sarasate Carmen Fantasie Pablo de Sarasate Navarra Ernest Bloch Prayer Trad Ashokan Farewell Works by Theresia von Paradis, Debussy and Paganini along with new commissions and arrangements of traditional Scottish music.
