Founded in 2018 by Gairika Mathura lawyer and senior disciple of Guru Madhulita MohapatraNritya Alaap was born with a mission to share the depth and exquisite charm of Odissi while nurturing excellence across Indian classical arts. The institution celebrates Indias rich cultural heritage by featuring both renowned maestros and emerging talent.

Its signature annual event, Odissi Sandhya, provides a vibrant platform for young artists from diverse classical traditions to perform alongside Odissi. Each edition becomes a confluence of devotion, artistry, and tradition, weaving a tapestry that honors heritage while inspiring contemporary appreciation.

This 8th edition of Odissi Sandhya proudly carries that legacy forward. This year, we also felicitate Gurus, seniors, and pioneers who have contributed immensely to Indian classical dance and to the promotion of our treasured classical arts.
