Obeka: A World No More

Obeka: A World No More
This October Prague based label YUKU unleashes the debut album A World No More, crafted by Bermuda-born multidisciplinary artist Obeka. The rhythmic dynamics and emotive attitudes of the performance captures the density of soundsystem culture in Obeka's ancestral roots. Capturing a Neo-Colonial dystopia, protest and Afro-Futurism hyperextended through decaying sonic structures of a dark past and its grievances which very much exist today. Spearheaded by indigenous sonic awareness, live sound design by Sweden's Frederic and spoken word alongside London's emerging MC Big Dreco with piercing Pan-African percussion and theatrical choreography of the outer/inner-body. Live support by the mind-bending sound palette of FUMU presenting his live frazzled noise and power electronics through radioactive dancehall and cloud-bass to create some of the most confrontational yet irresistible dance music of recent memory. Soundtracked by DR MYSTERY and a B2B stampede lead by local party starters Me Gusta Collective Atiké & Yohan, Zuri with Daytimers very own Izzi and Manchester debutant Tekhole hailing from Glasgow and Berlin blows the candle for the night which is set to be one for the ages. Presented by The White Hotel. This is an 18+ event
