Of Iyrn bring new sounds and new horizons to London's Avalon Cafe, playing their debut show with support from Magda & Clem Go Boating. Taking their name from the backdrop of their birthplace, Of Iyrn are an indie-alternative group from the Black Country. After years of playing in various projects, most recently as Melotone, the members reformed as Of Iyrn with a fresh focus on channelling their love of alt-rock and folk into a new body of music. Drawing inspiration from Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and Big Thief, their sound combines unconventional song structures with intricate storytelling into a world of love, loss and fragility. As well as bearing pride for their Black Country roots, the band celebrates their vocalist's Brazillian heritage with Portuguese poetry and Tropicalia-inspired songs following the greats like Gal Costa and Caetano Veloso.
