One Fifteen + Child3 + Omertà
Flash Delirium & Paper Dress Live are bringing you a fantastic bill of fresh music taking us from sleazy industrial, through dissonant noise rock, and raw punk with 3 of our favourite new bands in town one fifteen (fka white devil disco) Onefifteen (formerly White Devil Disco) emerge with a new sound that blends the best of industrial, trip-hop, pop and nu-metal. At the centre is multi-instrumentalist Joseph Pancucci, original bass player of Fat White Family. After a short hiatus, the band returns with a fresh lineup and a sharper bite: high, spectral female harmonies twist against slabs of grinding bass, while Pancucci delivers a vocal that rumbles somewhere between Leonard Cohen’s baritone gravitas and the street-snarled growl of Tom Waits. Beneath the grit, the songs pulse with catchy, bass driven hooks and beats that drag you to the dance floor even as the atmosphere stays heavy and sinisterly melancholic. Make George Michael smoke 60 a day and stick him in Nine Inch Nails and it might sound something like Onefifteen. child3 Heaving and screeching into motion like a gnarled, odious warning siren, Child3’s debut single ‘Give It To Me Now’ jitters with the sort of soul-stirring dissonance that might soundtrack a feverish nightmare, right before it jolts you awake and into a state of wide-eyed, sweaty trepidation. omertà Omertà are a very singular musical anomally hailing from south London. Their music is an unapologetic clash of genres blending post-punk, electronica, noise, hyper pop and everything in between that gives them a wonderful excuse to put on an incredible live show focused on free-flowing improvisation and musical freakouts.
