One Man, Two Guvnors

By Richard Bean (Based on The Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni). Music by Grant Olding and others.
Headgate Theatre Productions
Brighton, 1963. We follow Francis Henshall who has unwittingly become employed by two
bosses simultaneously - Roscoe Crabbe, a gangster and Stanley Stubbers, a toff! Francis tries desperately hard to keep the two employers at bay with hilarious results. A cocktail of mistaken identity, mayhem, music, fast-paced physical comedy and silliness make this play one of the great British comedies of the 21st century! This amateur production is by permission of Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. Advisory: the play contains some views that were acceptable at the time of writing.
