OTL: The GAB Trio featuring Luna Cohen

Best known for his work with his band Wild Card, guitarist Clement Regert brings his latest project, The GAB Trio, featuring established drummer/percussionist/producer Steve Taylor on cajon and percussion and long-term Clement collaborator the expat Italian Gianluca Corona also on guitar.
With this charismatic two-guitar front line, the trio perform what Clement describes as “a blend of Flamenco/Brazilian infused tunes and reworked pop numbers”. For this performance, they are delighted to feature the wonderful Brazilian vocalist Luna Cohen, “one of the most interesting singers and composers among the rising stars of MPB – música popular brasileira” (Time Out Barcelona), who has perfected her craft and earned a spot in the foreground of the jazz scene.
“The GAB Trio put on a thrilling gig which blended the boundaries of jazz, samba, tango, flamenco, and bossa nova. Guitarists Gianluca Corona and Clement Regert were joined by Steve Taylor on percussion, and each musician’s sophisticated respect for world musical traditions was matched by their virtuosic improvisational abilities.” Jazzwise
“Sprightly rhythm and attractive melody delivered by nylon-strung guitars and Cajon setting the tone…with “The GAB Album” on the stereo, it’s warm and sunny indoors.” London Jazz News
“The trio is creating and improvising at a level of communication that’s very impressive…” Blues & Soul Magazine
