Since his inaugural performance with the fledgling Steeleye Span in 1970, Peter Knight has been a mainstay of the British folk scene.
Never one to rest on his laurels, Peter has carved a reputation as a relentlessly questing musician as mercurial as quicksilver, and it is never quite so apparent as in his work with the various Gigspanner line-ups.

The Gigspanner Trio is the beating heart from which all other lineups have evolved, and the one most loved by many for the intimacy and joy manifest in their virtuosic performances. Audiences revel in the opportunity to witness up close and personal the almost telepathic communication that exists between Peter, guitarist Roger Flack and hand percussionist, Sacha Trochet.
