We welcome none other than the iconic pianist Mitsuko Uchida for this very special concert, with her breath-taking live performances being known for both for her technical brilliance and emotional honesty. Deliberately only performing a limited number of concerts per year, her appearance with us is not to be missed.

If you asked a piano boffin what Mitsuko Uchida is famous for, Mozart and Schubert would be high on their list - and she brings favourites from each of these composers to us in Gateshead, plus music by Haydn and something a little spicy by Schoenberg.
