Workshop one: 1 July (1015-1230)
Reading and Writing Poetry:This workshop is an opportunity to gain and share insights into reading and enjoying poetry. We will pool knowledge and insights into the wide range of writing that might be described as poetry before sharing some of our favourites. We will discuss ways to approach writing poetry and how different forms of poetry shape our ideas.
Participants might like to bring a published poem they would like to share.
Workshop two: 8 July (1015-1230)
Writing Poetry:This workshop is about writing poetry and sharing work with others.We will complete some classroom exercises and discuss how well they inspire creativity, sharing what is produced if we wish.
Those with some experience of writing poetry will have the opportunity to share a poem, inviting feedback on their work.
