Since 2000, St. Louis’ YOWIE has been perfecting a unique form of progressive rock that incorporates complex polyrhythms and guitar dissonance. Since their formation in St. Louis, Missouri, the trio has carved out a singular space in the world of experimental and avant-rock, blending hyper-technical polyrhythms, jagged time signatures, and an almost inhuman synchronicity. From their groundbreaking debut "Cryptooology" (2004) to the dystopian, shape-shifting chaos of "Damning With Faint Praise" (2012) and the apocalyptic intensity of "Synchromysticism" (2017), YOWIE have consistently pushed the limits of composition and execution.
