Blaikie Blaikies journey into the underground dance scene began in 1994 when he first discovered rave tapes from iconic venues like Zone (Blackpool) and Madisons (Workington). Immersing himself in the vibrant underground culture, he frequented market stalls to collect tapes from various UK clubs, uncovering the refined sounds of Progressive, Techno, House, and Trance genres that ignited his lifelong passion for electronic music. A pivotal moment in his early years was discovering Carl Coxs legendary F.A.C.T. album, which became a lasting influence on his musical identity. In 1995, Blaikies love for dance music led him to explore the club scene, and by 1998, he began his DJ journey with a set of belt-driven Gemini turntables. The hobby quickly evolved into a true passion, prompting an upgrade to the iconic Technics 1210s. With this new setup, Blaikie dedicated himself to perfecting his craft, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artists such as Timo Maas emotive sounds, James Holdens intricate progressive grooves, Josh Winks deep techno beats, Ferry Corstens anthemic trance, and Carl Coxs relentless energy. These influences coalesced to shape his distinctive style, defined by an expertly curated blend of techno, progressive, and house with a focus on driving basslines, soaring melodies, and immersive atmospheres. Blaikies keen ability to read the crowd and select the perfect track at the right moment has made him a sought-after DJ for underground enthusiasts and festivalgoers alike. Whether commanding the decks during late-night sets or delivering an unforgettable sunrise session, Blaikies energy and passion for music remains unwavering, continuing to fuel his love for sharing the dance floor experience with others. Miss Maxo Miss Maxo found her love for the underground dance scene in 1996, frequently attending clubs like the Chunnel Club (Trinity), The End, Sunny Side Up at SW1, and Frantic. Her love for the 007 Live in New York CD by Paul Oakenfold sparked an interest in deeper dance music, and she would regularly go to hear him play at Ministry of Sound during his residency there. Her DJ career began in 1998 when she moved from London to Melbourne, Australia, and heard the amazing sounds coming from DJs like Kasey Taylor and Sean Quinn (Vapour Recordings), who were progressive DJs. Within her first two years, Miss Maxo became a resident DJ for Bass Station (Progressive room), Therapy, The Big Red Bus, Ibiza Lounge, Clarendon Lounge, and Frantic (Melbourne). She played alongside some of the best in the progressive house scene, such as Kasey Taylor, David Stubs, Nato (Secretly Famous), and GMJ, with a career highlight warming up for Leroy from the Prodigy on NYE 2000. Miss Maxo played regularly at festivals such as Earthcore and Rainbow Serpent over the nine years she lived in Australia and had her own radio show on Street FM called Black Phunk every Sunday night. Miss Maxo is a strictly vinyl-only DJ. Her progressive house vinyl collection is one of the most unique in the UK, as most of her collection is from Australia. Miss Maxo is back home and now lives in the New Forest area. Jamie Simon Shaw Jamie Simon Shaw is a devoted dance music enthusiast and vinyl collector who has spent nearly 25 years in his element in the DJ Booth. He is known for delivering up-tempo, driving and hypnotic sets, characterised by long, smooth transitions that explore the full spectrum of the Progressive sound.
