During the 70s and 80s Prelude had hits with their unique acapella version of Neil Youngs After the Goldrush, Brians song Platinum Blonde and their version of Roy Orbisons Only the Lonely. They toured with Ralph McTell and provided the background vocals on his No1 hit, The Streets of London. They also toured with Joan Armatrading, Michael Chapman and Don McClean.
