Big Ideas By The Sea festival patron Prof. Joann Fletcher will once again entertain and educate us with her brilliant insights into Ancient Egypt! Professor Joann Fletcher is Visiting Professor at the Department of Archaeology, University of York. She is a founding member of the universitys Mummy Research Group. She is also Lead Ambassador for the Egypt Exploration Society and consultant for the museums of Harrogate, Barnsley and Wigan. Her publications include The Search for Nefertiti, Cleopatra the Great and most recently The Story of Egypt, her regular appearances on television including the BAFTA-winning Mummifying Alan: Egypts Last Secret and the four-part BBC2 series Immortal Egypt with Joann Fletcher.
