The List

Really?! Hes Doing What?!

Really?! Hes Doing What?!
Really? Hes Doing What??!! Saturday 19 July - 7.00 for 7.30pm. Unreserved seating in the Lounge. Ages 16+ Philip Douch reads stories for grown-ups. He chats for a bit. Then he reads you his stories. Disarmingly simple. Beautifully crafted. Expertly delivered. And funny too. Philip has toured his own short stories shows to intimate venues around the South West including the Cheltenham Everyman Studio and The Alma Pub Theatre in Bristol. He knows its ambiguous to say that he once closed the Nailsworth Festival.. He has twice won the Gloucestershire Writers Network annual short story competition, read at the Cheltenham Literature Festival and Evesham Festival of Words, and features in the top three for stories chosen for performance at Stroud Short Stories. More intriguingly he has read in a torrential rainstorm at The Green Man Festival (quite damp), in the dark on the back of a land rover (quite dangerous) and at a Pirates Party (quite dressed up). At opposite ends of the performance spectrum he has played Eddie The Eagles dad alongside the famed ski-jumper himself in the Everymans main stage musical Fly Eddie Fly and the execrable Nazi Herr Zeller with The Cotswold Players in The Sound of Music. He promises to be less scary in this cabaret-style show in the Lounge at the Playhouse on Saturday 19th July With added contributions from Sarah Lucas, Hannah McDonald and Melanie Palmer. Oh, and theres a bar too.. And its for 16+ (as there could be the odd mention of inter-twining body parts). It brought joy to my evening I was crying with laughter
