Rob Rouse: Idiot

Warning: this show has been meticulously assembled to make you laugh as much as possible - however - you will not learn anything from it - you may even come out stupider than when you came in.
Bottom from BBC's Upstart Crow, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Spoons, The Friday Night Project, Daves One Night Stand.
Since winning The prestigious So You Think Youre Funny Award at the Edinburgh Festival in 1998 Rob Rouse has toured the world for the last 27 years! Fortunately, over a quarter of a century in the biz hasnt made him (me) in the slightest bit sensible and hes (I am) absolutely delighted to be coming to The Norbury Theatre on Wednesday 4th June.
Robs career has seen him encompass pretty much everything from presenting Channel 4s The Friday Night Project, Starring alongside David Mitchell in BBCs Upstart Crow, 8 out of 10 Cats CH4, Spoons Ch4, Daves One Night Stand and countless other TV and radio shows, to appearing in The West End Stage show Of Upstart Crow The Play
Robs a one man comedy whirlwind who drags the audience into his craftily spun tall tales with bucketfuls of manic energy, first class stage craft, eerily convincing characterisations and a barrage of hilarious one liners. He also has a hit podcast with Tom Wrigglesworth called The Unlikely Weightlifters Podcast

The tears of laughter came in floods a sustained piece of observational storytelling which just peaked and peaked he is prepared to go to the bleakest and most uncomfortable places.the real reason is simply that he is a great storyteller, of the kind who is able to blur the boundaries between fact and fiction to get at the truths of life and death which lie behind their tale. You want to hug his brain for coming up with this stuff, even as you want to wash his mouth out with soap for saying it. THE HERALD
