Romsey Male Voice Choir
Romsey male voice choir is back ‘Singing Fun Taken Seriously’ RRMVC is back with a lively and eclectic musical mixture to make you laugh, make you cry, make you want to dance, or make you contemplate life and the power of music. At our first performance at Hangar Farm in February 24, we discovered a hugely welcoming, warm and friendly venue and had a fantastic audience, so were delighted to secure a spot in January 2026 to do it all again. We also have the great pleasure of once more welcoming on stage the choir’s guest performers who we and audience loved, the fabulous female, ‘award winning a cappella choir’ the Queen Bees. For those who don’t know Romsey Male Voice Choir, we’re a bunch of 60 plus men passionate about music, singing and performing and not just in one genre, not just in one language, but in several of each. With 30 years under our belt from 1995 to 2025 the choir has sung in venues across England and Wales, including the Royal Albert Hall, toured in Europe and competed in choir festivals in Bath, Cornwall and Cheltenham. In 2025 at the latter event, the prestigious Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts, against competition from across the UK, we won two cups, an achievement made more poignant for the choir by a heartwarming commendation from the highly experienced adjudicator. A choir cannot live without a Musical Director and Accompanist. At RMVC we are fortunate to have our very talented MD, Marion Maxey, and two accomplished accompanists Richard Stannard and Brian Budden. With their guidance and our determination, RMVC thrives on a challenge, performing some of the most difficult arrangements for male voice choirs and giving audiences a progressive repertoire. With an undercurrent of informality, we aim to sing something for everyone, so we hope everyone at the concert in January finds that something.
