Rough Trade Recommends: Pale Blue Eyes + Wull
Rough Trade Recommends presents: Pale Blue Eyes + WULL Rough Trade's new music showcase with some of the best up-and-coming acts in the alternative scene. Pale Blue Eyes PBE’s third album, New Place, is released on the band’s Broadcast Recordings label. Guests include two musicians who have featured in the PBE live line-up - Tom Sharkett, music producer and guitarist with W.H. Lung, and music producer and musician Lewis Johnson-Kellett. “The new album comes with a new landscape,” says Matt, summing up. “I hope the result is uplifting. The album reflects the end of an era and embracing new beginnings. But when we were unpacking in our new house in Sheffield we found an old slide projector that had belonged to my parents. We spent hours looking through old 35mm slides and we decided to use one for the album cover. It feels like a lifetime of memories - but now beside a world of new beginnings.” Wull Wull are an explosive and versatile new band, formed in 2023. Drawing influence from the likes of Shame, Whipping Boy and The Prodigy, Wull channel the raw, rising energy of punk attitude while staying rooted in the music that shaped them. Their sound combines anthemic, melodic choruses with lyrics that delve into the inner thoughts and everyday struggles of modern life. With early support from Steve Lamacq, John Kennedy, Dave Monks, and Amy Lamé, Wull are already making their mark. Rough Trade Liverpool £15+bf Presented by Rough Trade. 14+ Under 16s with Adult
