Royal Academy of Music Lunchtime Concerts at The Goods Shed - Amore Bruciante

Our latest Royal Academy of Music Lunchtime Concert for 2026 at the Good Shed - Friday 20th November at 1.00pm
Amore Bruciante: Caroline Blair (soprano), Katya Grabova (piano)
Introduction from Nicola Mutton, Director of Artistic Planning, Royal Academy of Music
"It is my great pleasure to bring some of the Academys exceptional student performers to this lunchtime concert series in Tetbury. Over the course of the year, more carefully curated concerts will showcase the diverse talents of our students, who represent a wide range of nationalities and cultural backgrounds".
Amore Bruciante seek voices that linger between dream and desire. From the folk-inflected intimacy of Berios Quattro Canzoni Popolari to the nocturnal stillness of Berg and Barber, via the vivid intensity of the pulsing dances and longing found in Turina, Falla, and Albniz. This programme resonates with moments of stillness - a solitary birdsong, a shimmer of night - and a love that sets the soul alight.
Soprano Caroline Blairhas been a Young Artist for Ryedale Festival and Waterperry Opera Festival and is a previous winner of the Joan Chissell Schumann Lieder Prize and recipient of the Academy's Eldee Award for Outstanding Studentship.
Pianist Katya Grabova has appeared at the Aspen Music Festival, the Rheingau Musik Festival, and the Leeds International Concert Season, and has performed at Wigmore Hall, the Southbank Centre, the Shanghai Concert Hall, and the Moscow Conservatory.
