Royal Academy of Music Lunchtime Concerts at The Goods Shed - Scintilla Quartet

Our latest Royal Academy of Music Lunchtime Concert for 2026 at the Good Shed - Friday 3rd July 2026 at 1.00pm
Scintilla Quartet
Introduction from Nicola Mutton, Director of Artistic Planning, Royal Academy of Music
"It is my great pleasure to bring some of the Academys exceptional student performers to this lunchtime concert series in Tetbury. Over the course of the year, more carefully curated concerts will showcase the diverse talents of our students, who represent a wide range of nationalities and cultural backgrounds".
Our latest concert for 2026 features the Scintilla Quartet made up of: Paloma Bharucha, violin -- Yuliia Sozanska, violin -- Theo Heyward, viola -- Cameron Walls, cello
Formed in 2024, the Scintilla Quartet are an exciting young ensemble comprised of musicians studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London. They regularly receive coaching from a plethora of world class musicians, such as Anthony Marwood, Sini Simonen, and members of the Doric, Fibonacci and Barbican Quartets.
Some of their recent performances include a public masterclass with Lawrence Power and lunchtime recitals at Lea Barn for the Maidenhead Music Societys Rising Stars concert, and St James Piccadilly for their chamber music series. The Quartet recently placed 2nd in the Nina Drucker Haydn prize and 3rd in the Historical Women Composers Prize within the Academy.
Programme
Haydn String Quartet (opus tbc)
Beethoven String Quartet Op 18 No 4 in C minor
Danish String Quartet 'Shore'
They were honoured to be guest artists at the 2025 iteration of the Halstead Music Festival and to be accepted onto the Frost ASSET Scheme, with mentoring from Hlne Clement. They look forward to further lunchtime and evening concerts across London, with debuts and returns at the Petworth and Halstead Festivals respectively.
I am thrilled to share the talent and artistry of the Royal Academys students with Tetbury, and hope you will join us for the series.
