Programme includes music by Barbara Strozzi, Julie Pinel, Errollyn Wallen and Héloïse Werner. Scottish Ensemble’s annual summer concerts bring vibrant music to open, light-filled venues across Scotland. In 2025 they are joined by soprano and composer Héloïse Werner – “a soprano of extraordinary range, tone and vocal abilities, possessing a seemingly inexhaustible expressive range” (Gramophone) Héloïse’s vocals and Scottish Ensemble’s playing will meld to create a bright and vivid sound world that will take listeners on a sunlit odyssey through beautifully evocative arrangements of Baroque songs to Héloïse’s own dramatic and playful works.
