Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason

Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason
A spectacular concert featuring two of the most exciting young musicians working in the world today. Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason present a programme including Nadia Boulanger’s haunting Pieces for Cello and Piano, composed at the start of the First World War, and an arrangement of Rebecca Clarke’s magnificent Viola Sonata, written at the war’s end. These appear alongside two of the great works for cello and piano by Mendelssohn and Schumann, two close friends and collaborators who left an indelible mark on the history of chamber music.
