Sherborne Rock Choir
If you are wanting to learn to sing you'll find just what you were looking for with us in the Rock Choir. The Sherborne Rock Choir is led by singing teacher Andrew Hollick. The choir will be performing locally again soon so it's a chance for you to join in, sing and perform without pressure and under the supportive guidance of Andrew. Rock Choir members have performed at the O2 Arena, Guilfest and many more iconic venues across the country. Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at Wembley Arena (which we did! - for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'), there's a place for you in the Sherborne Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see why the Sherborne choir members recommend their friends! Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir is great as it has given me the opportunity to sing again without the constraints of a formal choir. The pieces are broken down so you are able to learn them and you can also download songs to practise at home. Its a great way to release the stresess of life. Singing can help you to releases' happy hormones' which make you feel happy and you leave in a better state of mind. It has helped me through a difficult time. It is fun. The people are welcoming and friendly.' - Angela (Rock Choir member) Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award [https://rockchoir.com/awards-achievements/]. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
