Simons released his sparkling debut album Beneath The Brightest Smiles in 2024, which slickly fused the likes of folkier sensibilities reminiscent of Big Thief and Elliott Smith with a tendency to locate the nearest overdrive pedal and arrive at guitar anthems not unlike The Strokes or Oasis. Backed by an eclectic band, Sid overtook some of NYCs most storied venues such as Bowery Ballroom and Irving for exceptionally reviewed and memorable live shows all year.
