Skids & Theatre Of Hate

Skids & Theatre Of Hate
Two legendary names from the original punk and post-punk era come together for one unforgettable night at EngineRooms Southampton.

Scottish punk pioneers Skids and post-punk icons Theatre Of Hate bring their influential back catalogues to Southampton on Tuesday 20th October 2026. Expect an evening packed with classic anthems, powerful performances and the raw energy that made both bands such enduring forces in alternative music.

Formed in Dunfermline in 1977, Skids remain one of the most celebrated bands to emerge from the first wave of UK punk, known for timeless tracks including "Into The Valley", "The Saints Are Coming" and "Masquerade". Their distinctive sound and electrifying live shows continue to captivate audiences decades later.

Joining them are Theatre Of Hate, whose unique blend of post-punk, new wave and gothic rock helped define an era. Fronted by the charismatic Kirk Brandon, the band will deliver fan favourites including "Do You Believe In The Westworld?" and "Original Sin".

Whether you're reliving the soundtrack of your youth or discovering these influential bands for the first time, this is a rare opportunity to see two iconic acts sharing the same stage.
