Catch Toulouse-based trio Slift. Their second album, Ummon, was composed during their prolific European tour schedule last year and was created as the soundtrack of an imaginary film; a dreamlike odyssey that stages the Titans, their exile towards the outer reaches of space in search of their creators, and the return of the Titan Hyperion to Earth. Taking a much heavier, darker and cinematographic turn from their debut music, the band have described their new sound as 'distant echoes and reveries, celestial choirs lighting up the space. Repetition. Repetition. Ancestral voices, heavy metal and ancient alien rites. Abyssal doom and Apocalyptic noise. There is chaos. And there is silence'.
