Sauchiehall Street’s name holds a key to its origins, hinting at a past far removed from today’s bustling cityscape. Over the last 200 years, the street has transformed dramatically as Glasgow expanded westward, now supporting a very different kind of biodiversity from the Seven Lochs Wetland Park.

Join Scott Ferguson as he uncovers the unexpected connections between these two seemingly contrasting landscapes, the vital role wetlands have played in our past and how the Park team and local communities are working to conserve them for future generations.

This event is apart of an events programme, which will run alongside an immersive exhibition "Not to be Sniffed At - an Aromatic History of Sauchiehall Street". The exhibition invites visitors to experience the street's past through their sense of smell.

Running from April 19 to May 1, this unique collaboration between Glasgow Building Preservation Trust and perfumer Clara Weale explores the evocative power of scent in shaping memory and place.
