Joseph Lang is turning 33. To celebrate, his wife Ella is throwing him a surprise party. The guest list includes an apathetic MP, his not so apathetic wife, and the recently divorced couple, Jane and Miles. When Jane discovers that Ella has invited her ex-husband for the sole purpose of spiting her, she hatches a plot to steal her husband and, in the process of which, ends up uprooting the lives of everybody there. As war rages in South America, these six upper class Brits can think of nothing but themselves. Trigger warnings: References to alcoholism, violence and war.
