Sophie Raworth: Running on Air

Sophie Raworth: Running on Air
Sophie Raworth talks to colleague and friend Justin Webb about her inspiring journey from the BBC Breakfast sofa to pounding the pavements as a marathon runner. One of the BBC’s most recognisable news presenters, Sophie took up running in her 40s but her first marathon was almost a disaster when she collapsed two miles from the finish line. Since then, she has completed all seven World Marathon Majors and run ten ultra-marathons, including the 150-mile Marathon des Sables across the Sahara Desert. Sophie shares her inspiring story of discovering a love for running and how it has helped her with challenges from losing loved ones to interviewing the Prime Minister. There will be a book signing after this event.
