Specialist Tour: Norwich Cathedral through the second millennium: Part 1 – Pre-Dissolution

Founded at the end of the C11th, major events in every century of the second millennium have shaped the Cathedral as it is at the start of the third.
Century by century this tour looks at the impact of natural disasters, citizen unrest, religious imperatives and upheaval, war, restoration work and generous benefaction on the fabric from 1096 to the present day.
This part of the tour will focus on the years from the cathedral’s foundation to 1538.
The tour starts at 10:15am on Saturday 4th November in the Hostry, just outside the gift shop, and lasts approximately 90 minutes.
Please note, this tour is limited to 15 people.
