Steinway Piano Series: Nat Bartsch

Twice ARIA-nominated Australian pianist and composer Nat Bartsch joins us in the Elgar Room as part of our Steinway Piano Series.
Nat’s soothing lyrical music explores the space between neoclassical, chamber music, jazz and children’s genres. She is most well-known for her lullabies, played across the world by people of all ages - literally from the birthing suite to the final hours of life.
This music was first released as Forever, and No Time At All in 2018, and her ARIA-nominated jazz-reinterpretation Forever More, in 2020.
Now Nat is back with the much-anticipated follow up to her previous albums, 2024's Forever Changed was recorded at home with her seven year old son sleeping down the hall, and celebrates Nat’s discovery of her autistic/ADHD identity in her late 30s while reflecting upon the enormous changes that have occurred in her life since: divorce, new love and a new family.
Forever Changed showcases a development of Nat’s inimitably lyrical, emotive and vast sound is brought to life by upright piano, harp, strings, ambient electronics and synthesizers.
