Sultan Stevenson Trio

Sultan Stevenson is the new powerhouse of British Jazz. He received a Parliamentary Award for Best Newcomer in 2023 following the release of his debut album ‘Faithful One’. Now with his follow up album ‘El Roi’ released by Edition Records he has Europe at his feet. Come and experience a ‘....superstar of the future...’
Sultan Stevenson is one of the most exciting young jazz musicians in London today. He did his first international tour in October 2023 when he was invited to Ireland, a tour that included an appearance at The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.
2024 also took Sultan’s trio (Jacob Gryn on bass and Joel Waters on drums) across Europe. They appeared at Jazz Jantar in Poland, Jamboree in Barcelona, Duc De Lombards in Paris and for a 2-night residency at The Birds Eye Jazz Club in Basel, Switzerland.
2025 has already been a tremendous year for Sultan. On March 28th, he released his second album El Roi on Edition Records, launching with a sold-out show at the Southbank Centre. The trio are on their European tour and has performed at various high-profile jazz clubs and festivals, such as Duc De Lombards in Paris, Unterfahrt in Munich and Jassmine in Warsaw.
Sultan performed in Utrecht at The Transition Festival, in Belfast at The Brilliant Corners Festival, Bingen, Germany at The Swingt Festival, Bulgaria at The Bansko Festival and The Brecon International Jazz Festival.
