Join us for a rousing evening of traditional folk music, raising money for City Arts. Enjoy drinks, be entertained and win prizes in our raffle. Nottingham-based folk band Higgs Bosun will be performing songs drawn largely from the British and Irish cultural traditions. They will be supported by musician Chris Punter. Money raised from tickets and on the night will be invested into the work of City Arts, which is only possible with the kind support of our donors and funders. We use these funds to: create opportunities for artistic self-expression for the people of Nottingham, regardless of their background work with communities to bring great art into their local areas, bringing parks and community centres to life support inspiring artists whose work is often overlooked by the mainstream, helping them to realise their potential This event will have a licensed bar. ABOUT THE ACTS Higgs Bosun Higgs Bosun is a Nottingham-based fusion of 5 multi-instrumentalists and vocalists. They perform an entertaining mix of accompanied and unaccompanied songs and tunes drawn largely from the British and Irish cultural traditions. Great harmonies and thoughtful arrangements are guaranteed to get feet tapping and audiences singing along! Chris Punter Chris Punter is a Notts-based performer with a wide repertoire of songs, a fine voice and excellent guitar licks. A regular performer at Trent Acoustic Roots and Folk (a first-Sunday-of-the-month folk club in Radcliffe on Trent) he is also part of the Bang on the Wall Ceilidh Band.
