Tara Lily

South London-born British-Bengali artist Tara Lily crafts a sound that’s uniquely her own - blending jazz, electronica, alt-R&B, and Indian classical influences into genre-defying music rooted in her multicultural upbringing. Her singular style and deep musical insight have earned praise from Virgil Abloh, Gilles Peterson, Iggy Pop, Jamie Cullum, and led to her becoming the first British artist signed to Motown Records UK.
Her debut album Speak In The Dark explores the unspoken - secrets, desires, and ancestral ties - set against lush, experimental backdrops shaped by the emotional highs and lows of living with ADHD. Fearless, raw, and impossible to box in, Tara Lily is a rising force in contemporary music.
Fusing jazz, electronica, R&B and South Asian sounds, this will be a live playback of Tara’s debut album Speak in the Dark, a record about speaking out, things we don’t say, secrets we keep and fascinations. The sonic landscape will be a spiritual journey from east to west, drawing on ancient and modern sounds in relatable song form, and incorporating improvisation.
