She's got great taste and is really sharp. I got lucky again!“ - Alan McGee. Tess Parks is a Canadian singer-songwriter/painter / photographer known for her dreamy, psychedelic rock sound. Inspired by an Oasis concert in 2002, she began playing guitar and, at seventeen, moved to London to study photography before leaving to pursue music. Signed by Alan McGee to 359 Records, she released her debut solo album Blood Hot in 2013 to critical acclaim. She later gained wider recognition through collaborations with Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Her work has been praised for its confident, enchanting presence and unique mix of current sounding nostalgia. In 2024, she released her most ambitious record yet, Pomegranate, expanding her sound with cinematic arrangements and her song “Somedays” was prominently featured in Tim Burton’s revival of “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”.
