Bring along a tie, bag, or item of clothing to customise, or choose from a selection of ties provided.

Explore bold colour, texture, and decorative details, build confidence through creative experimentation, and leave with a one-of-a-kind wearable artwork.

No previous sewing or art experience is required, making this workshop suitable for beginners and the art curious.

Basic materials provided. Food and drink is also available for purchase throughout the session from our cafés.

This workshop is suitable for ages 14+.

Artcycling is a creative practice that combines art, textiles, and sustainability by repurposing existing materials into new artistic or functional pieces.

Using second-hand fabrics, clothing, and found materials, Artcycling encourages creativity through reuse while celebrating individual expression.

Sue Gascoyne is an environmentally engaged artist who loves using textiles, clay and sculpture to create interactive installations.

Sue’s sensory-rich work has been exhibited throughout East Anglia and London.

Sue was a finalist for VAO25 and selected for a Firstsite Collectors’ Group Bursary Award in 2025.

Sue has run workshops at Firstsite, Focal Point Gallery, The Old Waterworks, festivals and The Minories.

Sustainability and giving people a voice are central to her practice.
