The Beatles Get Blue: Jazz Tribute to the Fab Four, lands at the world famous Cavern Club on Wednesday 18th June (Paul McCartneys birthday!) and promises to be yet another highlight in the calendar of live music events in the city following the shows rapturous debut at LEAF on Bold Street which ended with a standing ovation and encore-calls lasting long into the night.
'Hey Jude, Yesterday, I Feel Fine, Michelle, Shes Leaving Home, The Long and Winding Road, Come Together and many more, all reimagined and transformed into toe-tapping grooves, wistful smoky ballads, hip-shaking latin rhythms, finger-clicking swing piano and other forms of jazz, which will leave you stunned and wanting more!
Performers:
- Matt Lawton (upright Bass); creator of The Beatles Get Blue, an accomplished bassist, arranger and music educator currently touring with the electrifying, Lusaint
- Adee Lifshitz (Vocals); captivating vocalist who recently graced the stages of Glastonbury and tours with the legendary pop/rock band, James.
- Colin Lamont (Drums); incredible, in-demand drummer who has recorded and toured with the likes of Mark Lanegan, Connie Lush and performs in jazz trio, The Alchemy Trio
- Barry Dallman (Piano); session player and piano teacher and a stalwart in the jazz music scene, he has numerous credits to his name and also performs in The Alchemy Trio
