The Bhavan presents Summer School Showcase 2026: Karnatic Violin duet by Lalgudi Siblings
As part of the summer school concert series 2026 the Lalgudi Siblings will do Karantic Violin duet accompanied by M Balachandar on Mridangam.
About the artist:
Lalgudi G.J.R. Krishnan andLalgudi Vijayalakshmi, are fifth-generation musicians and torchbearers of the illustrious Lalgudi bani. Being the children and disciples of the legendary Lalgudi G. Jayaraman, they were immersed in a musical environment. Under their fathers disciplined and meticulous guidance, they absorbed the essence of the Lalgudi tradition from an early age. While they pursued formal education and postgraduate studies, music always remained their foremost passion and priority. They will be accompanied by M Balachandar who is a versatile Mridangam artist and resident Mridangam teacher at The Bhavan.
