(by Ronald Harwood)

Norman, is the devoted and long-suffering personal dresser to an aging, faltering, once-great Shakespearean actor/manager. They, and the other key characters in a troupe of touring actors, stage a production of King Lear.
As World War II rages outside, Sirs failing health, wavering confidence and erratic behaviour threaten tonights performance and the companys future.
Norman and those closest to Sir must scramble to ensure that the show, no matter what, goes on....
