The Galloway Agreement is a collaboration featuring four well known traditional musicians; Wendy Stewart (clarsach, vocals), Ruth Morris (alto and tenor nyckelharpa), Gavin Marwick (fiddle) and Stuart Macpherson (double bass). Music from Scotlands South West These world class musicians are all based in Dumfries and Galloway. Their quartet, with a quite different instrumental line-up and choice of material from a more usual string quartet, has a repertoire which is a mixture of original compositions and favourite tunes and songs from Scotland and other European traditions. They delight in composing for this lovely combination of sounds and, in this concert, will include a commissioned piece on the 200 year celebration of the Ken Bridge. The band have been working together for several years now on the award-winning theatre show The Village and The Road, with which they have visited Japan twice. All the musicians involved are very well travelled, and have prepared an eclectic concert programme for you. Dont miss it!
