World War 2 is over and life is starting to return to the norm or so it should be ! The Mastersoft Hilary Hall School are returning from active duty to man the front lines of education. The boys are due to arrive for their first term, the school fortunately is intact...many schools have been destroyed in the blitz so The Misnistry of De - Evacuation have ordered schools to share premises. Wetheby Pond, Headmaster of Hilary Hall is alarmed, he must accomodate St Swithuns School as well as his own.....but oh calamity - Muriel Whitchurch Principal of St Swithuns School for Girls is not happy, nor are her mistresses...well nearly all. Chaos ensues when parents turn up to inspect schools..
One of the brilliant post war Ealing Comedies, with hints of St Trinians and Greyfriars rolled into a superb night of farce.
