The Howl and The Hum

Middlesbrough Gigs proudly present The Howl and The Hum (solo show) with special guests
The Howl & The Hum were born in York, an ancient city teeming with ghost stories and pubs. In these pubs, the band met, worked in, wrote, rehearsed, played, and honed their craft of powerful folk songs enhanced by melodic drones, driven by frontman and principal songwriter Sam Griffiths.
Their music draws inspiration from the folk musicians of the 60s such as Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell, while infusing it with the alternative music of the 90s, such as Radiohead and Massive Attack.
