Burt Bacharach Reimagined
Alex Steeles gorgeous interpretations of Bacharachs wonderful music Actually the brainchild of Club owner Jayne Jefferies, this project takes Burt Bacharachs music and creates sumptuous, gently reimagined versions either sung or instrumental that are full of new character and open to some intriguing jazz improvisations. Top UK vocalist Catherine Sykes sings her favourites and Alexs long time collaborator and Paul Jefferies plays bass - the whole project is delicately underpinned by drummer Euan Palmer. Expect melodies from film and the worlds of pop - classics like Arthurs Theme, Alfie, Do You Know the Way to San Jose, Wives and Lovers and many more.
