You've Got A Friend
This celebration of Carole King and James Taylor is a timeline of their music, with back-stage stories, all performed by four professional musicians. Audience members often comment on the authenticity of their renditions, and how it brings back lovely memories for them.
The band have achieved considerable success individually in their music careers, and have now joined together to present this wonderful show.
John Shearer has been a professional drummer all his adult life, mainly as a session artist working with members from Black Sabbath, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, Uriah Heep, Iron Butterfly and many more.
Tony Hammond gigged with all the top pub and club London-based cabaret acts in the early eighties. He recorded with Donovan and Splinter as an in-house studio bass player with Southern Music Publishing. He also played on dozens of sessions for Denise Nolan, Five Star and Elaine Page, and many other artists.
Michael Goulding is a guitarist, bassist, singer and session musician. He currently plays George Harrison in the very successful Trembling Wilburys tribute band, appearing at venues all over London and the UK.
Rebecca Turner is a pianist, singer and composer. She has worked with Wendell Richardson of Osibisa, and has made an album with him, which has enjoyed critical success. She has performed her compositions at her own West End shows, and has had a residency at the Four Seasons Hotel, playing jazz standards.
Together, they bring you a memorable and highly entertaining show which will have you singing all the way home!
