Holsts The Planets has been very successfully arranged for full brass band. The programme includes Our Planet, Earth which was originally commissioned by the Royal Albert Hall National Brass Band finalists contest as a tribute to Sir David Attenborough. The suite, which consists of five linked movements, was written by Gareth Trott of the Welsh Guards and was given its premiere by The Tongwynlais Temperance Band in 2023. In fact, a sixth movement of Our Planet, Earth, has recently been added, which will have its premiere in Wales, with our performance in Bath Abbey being its English premiere.
