The Portland Xmas Hometown show with guests Cherry Holt & Ikarus
Join us for a triple bill of up-and-coming indie bands with a very bright future ahead of them. The Portland -2025 has been a fantastic year for The Portland, including a sell-out tours with the Stanleys. They also made their London debut in July, supporting Good Health, at a sell-out show. Musically the band acknowledge an eclectic array of influences, including The Pixies, Bill Callahan, Foals, John Mayer, Nick Mulvey, Wunderhorse, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Ovlov, just to name a few. Filled with passion, energy, and authenticity, The Portland are a band to keep on your radar. Beyond that? Well, lets wait and see. But dont say, we didnt tell you so! Ikarus - The Manchester based quartet have been hailed as the future by BBC Introducings Angelle Joseph, the four-piece has been growing a strong and loyal following in Manchester. The opportunity to perform at consecutive years of the Latitude Festival in 2022, 2023 and 2024 saw the band go all out to hone their unique indie-alternative sound, experimenting and developing throughout hundreds of gigs across the UK. Though the track Rabbit in Your Headlights, released late in 2024, soundtracked the bands move to Manchester, the Suffolk countryside never fails to draw them back. Theres a definite nod towards the gritty sound of The Artic Monkeys in their songs. Cherryholt - With music compared to the likes of The La's and The Kooks, their songs have a nostalgic early noughties indie-pop feel Cherryholt burst onto the scene, in 2024 and being young lads in rural England, they write songs about experiences on small-town nights, young love and the modern age, resulting in timeless, emotional and relatable tunes. Show is open to 14+ - under 16's to be accomp by 18+. Ticket includes FREE entry to the aftershow club session from 11pm for all 18+ attendees
