THE REBEL RESIDENCY 2025 Night #1
The Rebel has been a huge influence on many bands around south London so way back in 2017, we thought we'd give him a four-week residency and invite along some guests. They were such good times that it's become an annual event.
The Rebel plus guests will be playing every Monday in June - 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th!
THE REBEL - The alter ego of Country Teasers’ Ben Wallers, The Rebel dates back to the tail-end of the 80s-having existed side-by-side throughout Country Teasers’ prolific career-often releasing records at a steadier clip than Waller’s main project with songs too madcap to fit into even their William-Burroughs-by-way-of-The-Residents take on country music. https://therebelband.bandcamp.com/

The Umlauts is a genre bending collective - that often numbers nine people - known for their multilingual European lyrics and blended influences from club culture. The band channels a frenetic energy through pairing jagged synths and angular guitar riffs with socially charged lyrics. On stage, the band’s ensemble creates an experience that is orchestral and dynamic.
