This powerhouse 9-piece line-up features former members of The Beautiful South, including vocalist Alison Wheeler and saxophonistGaz Birtles. Since original frontman Dave Hemingway stepped down in 2016, Gaz has taken centre stage alongside Alison, with trumpet playerGareth John now sharing vocal duties while Gaz occasionally returns to his trademark sax. The result? A live show that truly captures the spirit of the originals, while adding a fresh new energy.
Since The Beautiful South called it a day in 2007, The South have been touring relentlessly across UK theatres and festivals for over 14 years. Their setlist celebrates the full arrangements and unmistakable sound of these timeless hits: A Little Time (a UK No.1 single), Perfect 10, Rotterdam, Song For Whoever, Old Red Eyes Is Back, Good as Gold, Dont Marry Her plus many more classics, deep cuts, and a few South originals.
