The Varukers are a British punk band formed in 1979 by vocalist Anthony Rat Martin. They have been producing highly respected and influential recordings since the early 1980s. The band played what was to become known as the v beat, rather than the drum style of Discharges d beat. But, in common with Discharge, the Varukers lyrics carry a political outlook and ideology. Basically being pissed off with the things they see going on around them, and wanting to say their piece about it!
