Formed in 1988 in Skellefteå, northern Sweden, The Wannadies released their first album, Smile, in 1988. Five succeeding albums, including the 1993 hit Be a Girl, led The Wannadies into success, and to breaking into the UK charts with the 1996 hit “You and Me Song”.
